Dental Veneers

If you have always wanted a ‘perfect smile’ then dental veneers could well be the answer.

Veneers are wafer-thin laminates of tooth coloured material (which can be either porcelain, ceramic or composite bonding material). They are cemented to the front surface of teeth to improve their cosmetic appearance.

When are Dental Veneers used?

  1. If you have badly stained teeth that cannot be improved by teeth whitening or hygiene treatments, veneers can cover any existing stains on the teeth.
  2. Teeth that have been chipped or broken, can benefit from veneers. A small chip on a tooth can quickly be repaired with composite veneers. A single damaged tooth can easily be repaired with a porcelain veneer that has the same characteristics and colour as your natural teeth.
  3. If you have gaps or spaces between your teeth, these can be ‘covered up’ using veneers and delivering a more even smile.
  4. If you have slightly crooked teeth then these can be corrected by dental veneers. However, if teeth are particularly crooked, then orthodontics will be the better solution. Visit our Orthodontics page to find out more.
